2025 MISS SAVANNAH JUNETEENTH
This year, the crowning of Miss Savannah Juneteenth and the awarding of scholarships to each participant took place during our annual Scholarship Gala. While we traditionally host a separate pageant, we incorporated the celebration into the Gala to allow us to pour even more resources into our contestants.

Miss Ytinu McDonald!
Ytinu McDonald, a recent graduate of Savannah Early College, has proudly earned the title of 2025 Miss Savannah Juneteenth. She graduated with an impressive GPA and will be attending Howard University in Washington, D.C. this fall.
Throughout high school, Ytinu was a standout student leader — serving as Vice President of both the National Honor Society and Student Council, and contributing to impactful programs like the Feature Georgia Educators Program, the Student Leadership Program, School Council, and the Action Research Team. She also served as Co-Captain of the Bethesda Cheerleading Squad and was a dynamic member of the SLAM Poetry Team.
Ytinu’s commitment to leadership and service made her a natural choice for Miss Savannah Juneteenth. This title is more than a crown — it’s a responsibility to uplift, educate, and inspire. As Miss Savannah Juneteenth, Ytinu will help shine a light on the historical significance of Juneteenth, a celebration of Black freedom, resilience, and cultural pride. Her role will include engaging with youth, encouraging them to embrace their history, stand in their power, and lead with purpose.
Ytinu is a powerful reminder of what it means to honor the past while building a brighter future — and she is just getting started.
2025 Miss TEEN Savannah Juneteenth | Miss AEVA JONES
Congratulations to Aeva Jones, 2025 Miss Teen Savannah Juneteenth and Runner-Up to Miss Savannah Juneteenth!
Aeva Jones, now entering her junior year at Woodville Tompkins Technical High School, has been crowned 2025 Miss Teen Savannah Juneteenth and will proudly serve as the Runner-Up to Miss Savannah Juneteenth.
Aeva is deeply involved in her community, participating in programs such as the Savannah Youth Ambassadors, Pinky Cole Foundation Youth Entrepreneurs Program, and Justice for Black Girls, where she serves as an ambassador. She is also a member of the National Society of High School Scholars. Aeva channels her creativity and passion into poetry and drawing—using her voice and vision to uplift others and spark meaningful change.
Through her new role, Aeva will continue to emphasize the importance of Juneteenth—a celebration of Black freedom, resilience, and the ongoing journey toward justice and equality. Her passion for honoring the past while empowering the future perfectly aligns with the mission of the Savannah Juneteenth Fine Arts Festival.
As Miss Teen Savannah Juneteenth, Aeva will help inspire the next generation to know their history, stand in their truth, and lead with purpose. She is a rising leader, and we’re excited to see the impact she’ll make throughout the year!
