The Savannah Juneteenth Fine Arts Festival is a cultural movement rooted in freedom, education, and preserving the meaning of Juneteenth within our community. In under five years, it has grown into one of Savannah’s impactful seasonal celebrations—expanding into a multi-event experience that has awarded scholarships, elevated youth leadership, supported artists, and created spaces for cultural reflection and community engagement.

Each year, the festival continues to build through signature events that blend heritage, education, and celebration while creating opportunities for future generations to understand Juneteenth and carry its legacy forward.

Patricia Perry, visionary, founder, and Executive Director of the Savannah Juneteenth Fine Arts Festival, began with a sincere desire to learn more about history—particularly Savannah’s history—and a growing commitment to understanding the significance of Juneteenth. What began as personal study evolved into a vision for a city-wide celebration of freedom built on joy, education, and community, where all people are invited to honor a day that changed lives long before many of us were born. With a professional background in event planning, administration, festivals, and signature experiences, Patricia has intentionally shaped the festival as a distinctive branch of Chosen For The Arts, creating an environment that is both meaningful and elevated for adults, children, and families alike. At every event, she remains hands-on—whether coordinating details, supporting sponsors and vendors, setting tables, or engaging with guests—committed to ensuring each experience reflects excellence, history, and purpose.
